Met You One Summer And It All Began

I’m not a beach girl. I know, it sucks. I went to Florida a few years ago and I had all these dreams of being this cute boho beach girl. I planned on frolicking in the ocean, running on the sand in my big floppy beach hat, letting my hair get beach wavey, the whole 9 yards. But it turns out, I get motion sickness from the ocean, I burn even if I’m wearing sunblock, and I hate sand.

I still like the aesthetic, though. And I love being *near* the beach. Just don’t expect me to go TO the beach.

I Know There’s Gonna Be Some Brighter Days

I really love all kinds of colors. If you asked me my favorite color, I’d tell you 3, but I have more. Typically, I love pastels, but jewel tones and vivid colors also speak to me. I wear a lot of colors, both in my online and offline life. In a world full of colors, why would I only wear black, you know? Decorating is a little different for me. I usually stick with “natural” colors because it’s calming to me and my anxiety brain likes it. But I don’t know… Maybe it’s time for some brighter colors for my home.

Happy December, loves! Guess what time it is?? No, not just the holiday season. It’s time for the holiday round of The Epiphany!!

The Epiphany starts on December 15th at 10pm SLT and runs for about a month. If you can’t get into the main sim, remember to try the mirror sim. And don’t forget! If you get duplicate items, or something you just didn’t want while playing the machines, you can always turn them in for Epiphany points! And those can get you some pretty cool exclusive items from the participating designers! I know I certainly can’t wait to play!

I’ve been attempting to do a new house tour video because I want to set up a new home for us. But…things being what they are and all, I think what was going to be our new fall home is going to have to be our new winter home. *laughs* I did not want to let the season go by without doing at least one fall home photo, though.

Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself

Hello, beautiful ones! I hope everyone has had a most wonderful start to their September! Do you go by official starts to seasons? I almost never do. September means fall to me! And since fall has started, I’m getting the itch to get a new house! I don’t know why I go through this so often! But I just want something smaller and cozier than what we currently have. Do you know of any new homes out there that I might like? I’m looking for at least 2 bedrooms, and yes, I need a bathroom. I know, I know. Some people think it’s silly but I just like my houses to have a bit more realism to them. If you know of any new beautiful homes out there, let me know!

Even The Pinkest Flamingo Starts Out Grey

Hi bunnies! I will fully admit that although I like decorating in Second Life, I’m not really a great home and garden blogger. But I try, and trying and practicing is the best way to get good at something. Or at least, hopefully a little less bad. *laughs*

If you haven’t been to The Home Show, you have until the 29th to check it out! There are so many great things out there, so it’s definitely worth a look. My kids are too old for cribs, but I just love the Flamingo Nursery set and the Flamingo Quote Prints by Cwtch! So so cute, especially for summer!
