And if I seem a little overly excited, it’s because Summerfest is pretty much my favorite event of the year. I mean, I love a lot of events, of course, but Summerfest is definitely my favorite of the “once a year” events. I wait for it all year long and get SO crazy excited when they announce it’s happening. I really need to calm down, though, and go SLOWLY through the event to look at every little thing!
Summerfest starts NOW and goes until July 20th. Get there!!
Hello, spooky bunnies! It’s October, it’s time for all the spooky fun! Memento Mori just opened up and oh gosh. There are some downright scary things! Scary in the best way, I mean!
Caboodle is at Memento Mori with the Yandere gacha set. If you don’t know, “yandere” is a Japanese term for a character who is normally sweet and loving, but then can just go totally off the rails and be crazypants deranged! And this set fits the bill just perfectly! I am wearing the Rare schoolgirl outfit that has the option to be clean or bloody. And yes, the draped body behind me is part of the set. Scary! It’s a great set, so check it out!

Have you been to the Pose Fair yet?? It ends on the 26th, so you still have a week to shop, but you really do need to go! I’m posing on top of the Garden Stones by Exposeur that you can get at the Pose Fair. There are 10 poses [plus mirrors, so 20 in all] in the stones.

A new round of Uber has opened and the theme is Ethereal! It’s darling! Speaking of darling, Fri.day is at Uber with the Reverie feet wraps. They are for the Maitreya and Slink high feet and wrap up the legs so nicely! Also at Uber, Truth is there with the Polilla hair. The headband and butterflies [well, Truth calls them moths, but I like butterflies better] are separate pieces, too, so you have options here on how to wear the hair.
So I’ve always been intrigued by the thought of “insane asylums” for some reason. This probably goes back to all the crazy nursing stories my mom has told me over the years of her time training at the state hospital back in the late 60s when people didn’t know as much about mental illnesses as they do now. Scary stuff, man. Scary stuff!
There is a little event coming up on the 29th called Trick Or Treat! This is taking place over at The Shopping District. You’ll be able to find some cool Halloween/spooky/fall type things from some great designers. And from my understanding, a lot of things will be pretty inexpensive, so that’s always fun!
I’m wearing the Girl Next Door dress by Apple May that will be at Trick Or Treat. It’s just a simple little black dress, but…it has blood on it and a knife in your side! Ouch!
Trick or Treat starts on October 29th at 7pm SLT, so be sure to go get lots of treats!
Hello there, bunnies! After 3 spooky type pics in a row, I needed a change of pace for this evening. We had a really delightful evening at home and truly, I just feel blessed for the SLife I lead.
I’m wearing the Enchantress Timide dress by Faida & Fallen Gods Inc. that you can get at Wayward Halloween. It’s a rare item, but oh gosh, sooo worth playing for! It is just gorgeous! My favorite part is how it kind of pools at the feet and trails out. Love it!
A good up-do works best with this dress, in my opinion, so I paired it up with the Cinnabun hair from the Fall Forever collection by Besom that you can get at The Epiphany. So pretty!
Hi bunnies! You know, I don’t dress up a whole lot in SL these days. I am definitely more of a shorts/tank/flip flops kind of girl. But there is just something about putting on a great dress and some heels that makes me feel so good!
Valentina E. will be in Fifty Linden Friday tomorrow with the Blaze Ruffled dress in my favorite color! Hey, sideboob, hey! And I really do love the ruffles. They’re excellent! [Btw, just as I was about to post this, I saw that the dress is out early. Go get it!]
Festival of Sin is still going strong! Have you been out there yet? Fri.day is at the festival with the Narcissa heels. What I just adore about these heels is that they are very sleek. Sometimes it’s hard to find that!
Also out at the Festival of Sin, the Luxury Closet by Exposeur. This is a gacha, which is good because if you only want the dresses or something, you have the chance of that! The two chairs both have poses in them, but since I wanted to show off my dress today, I’m using a pose from the Envious pack by Elephante Poses, also out at the Festival of Sin.
Camp is over! It was an amazing, inspiring, emotional, unbelievable time and I’m sad that it’s over. After a week of being in pretty much nothing but shorts and camp shirts, coming home to dress up feels weird! And coming home to try to deal with both SL and Flickr’s issues while I blog… well. *laughs* But I have pretties to show!
The Epiphany started last week! This is a really cool gacha event. You play for your goodies like you would any regular gacha. But instead of being left with a ton of commons you might not be able to give away, you can trade these in for points that you can then turn in for fantastic exclusive items! Remember that your points DO roll over to the next round, so if you have leftovers, you won’t lose them. I’m wearing the exclusive Jour Reveur dress that is a collaboration between Faida and Fallen Gods Inc. This dress has a HUD so it can be made longer or shorter, or more revealing up top. It is not rigged for any mesh body, but does seem to work a little better with the Maitreya Lara body. I’m holding the exclusive Fan Clutch purse by Azoury. It has a static animation in it for holding. The Epiphany is open until August 4th.
Wayward Carnival opened up on the 15th, and that is where my awesome Tess platforms by Fri.day are from! It really is just the most incredible build, too, and there are lots of places for photo opportunities there. The carnival is only open until the 30th, so hop out there fast!

So this past week has been … kind of dreadful. *laughs* It’s RL stuff and if you follow me on plurk, you know about it, so I won’t get into it. But it’s meant I haven’t been able to blog, and that’s been kind of annoying. Blogging is my happy place. It’s my hobby, it’s my creative outlet, it’s what I do to relax. Not being able to do it has been kind of bad. But I’m back and hopefully everything will be calmer now.
The Liaison Collaborative opened up for its last round until the fall [I know, I’m crying too!!] and it’s a great one! Valentina E. has these fab Breakfast Club shirtdresses with cardigans and I just fell in love at first sight! It’s a wee short for me to wear as a dress regularly, but of course you can pair it up with tights or leggings.
Exposeur is also at The Liaison Collaborative this round with this cool Pipes photo box. There are 10 poses [20, if you count the mirrors] and it’s actually more for men than for women. But as you can see, I totally made it work for my needs.
Did you watch the spring finale of Pretty Little Liars tonight?? Those girls have soooo many secrets! I have secrets, too, but nowhere NEAR what they have! Luckily for you guys, my boots are not a secret!
Duncan Giano is a new-to-me store, but how totally adorable are these Sydney boots by DG for Shiny Shabby? I just love the little lace detail up on the tops! The boots come in several colors and have options to fit various mesh bodies and the default SL avatar.
Exposeur has a cool little promo prop out right now for just $50L. It’s called The Minimalist and it’s just a big ball in a box with 10 poses. It is minimal, but it’s really awesome for pics! I’ve been looking at what others are doing with it and it blows my mind how creative people are with the prop! I’m not sure how long it’ll be at the promo price, so hurry and get it!
