And Soon I Will Be Free

Hello bunnies! It’s the last day of November and I couldn’t be more thrilled about that! November is definitely not my favorite month and I feel like I need to apologize to so many people for my bad blogging and attitude. But the end is in sight and I am sailing towards it!

If you haven’t been to Wayward Market yet, you NEED to go. Like…now. That is where I got my new umbrella from! It is from the Adrift set by Le Poppycock. There are several poses, and you have the option of wearing the umbrella, or rezzing it to sit in. Truth just released the new Neema hair and this is a fitted mesh hair. That means it’ll move with some of your sliders, which is nice! There is an option with no scarf as well, and a size for the TMP head.

Getting Ready!

Hello bunnies! I’ve been on a bit of a holiday break. Mostly because I took a picture, stared at it, and thought, “Well, this is a bit ridiculous, isn’t it?” *laughs* Sometimes you gotta take a break to get your groove back! Also, we’re preparing to start decorating for Christmas!

I have my daughter, Birdy, in the picture with me today because I thought she just looked too cute! We were out at Tannenbaum and that is where she got her X’Mas Lights Wreath for her head! It is by !Ohmai, as is the Gold Star Topper and the Glass Ornament near us.

I’ve been really ready for more winter wear, so I’m thrilled with the new Emily boots by Fri.day that are out at N21! They come in 5 colors and each color has a HUD with 10 different legwarmer colors/prints. They are also unrigged, so you kiddos should be able to make them work for you, too!

Hi bunnies! I don’t really get a chance to dress up in more fantasy type things in SL, which is kinda sad because I always have fun when I do.  But you know, my daily SLife is much more suited for jeans and sweaters rather than a medieval style princess dress!

 

The Annex is at The Secret Affair this month with the Her Ladyship gown. It’s quite lovely, isn’t it? The little puffed sleeves are a separate piece, so you have the option of just wearing the dress as a strapless gown. The dress is fitmesh and it works pretty well with the Maitreya body.

The Cute Is Strong With This One

Hello bunnies! Do you like new stores? Do you like cute things? Well, do I have a store for you!  Goji just opened!!

Goji is collaboration of Janie Marlowe and Damien Fate. And well, when you get two superstars together, only fabulous things can happen!  Goji has some cutie cute items! I went a little less “girly girl” with my look today. I’m wearing the Cutie top in Tartan, and the 1975 pants in Casual. The clothes have HUDs to change the textures, too!

The clothes at Goji fit the more popular mesh bodies on the grid [Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique and Hourglass, and Belleza Isis and Freya], plus have standard sizes from XXS to M.

Dancing On The Stage Of Memory

I lost my sister 16 years ago today. She was 15 years older than me so for a great deal of my life, she was like a second mom to me. I think about her a lot, more at this time of the year than I usually do, of course. But for some reason, I didn’t really remember that this anniversary was coming up. For the first time, it didn’t hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn’t spend the morning crying. I just… went about my day. A little quieter than usual but not as sad as other November 15ths have been. I won’t say “Omg, I’m totally over it!” Because well…you never get over it. Ever. But I’m okay enough today and that’s a lot more than I could have asked for.

I think my sister would have liked Second Life. I think she would have probably become something in fashion here. Either a blogger because she was brilliant at writing, or a designer because she was incredibly fashionable and had a dream of designing her own clothes. Of course, I think she would have looked at my dress today and asked me why I didn’t get it in black, and why I’m not wearing a red lipstick. *laughs* Next time, sister. Next time.

Temporary Home

Hiya, bunnies! I don’t do as many home and garden posts as other people do, although I do love setting up little areas. But in a way, it makes me sad, too. My set-ups are definitely not as elaborate as others’ are, but each one I do feels like somewhere I’d like to live. But it’s just a temporary home.

The Liaison Collaborative opened up and this month is the home and garden round. [I know there was some confusion last month, but TLC alternates now. Last month was fashion and poses, this month is home and garden, next month will be fashion again, etc.] MudHoney has the great Rustic Charm Porch Accessories set that is just perfect for your fall decorating. The welcome mat was a little small for me, but modded easily to be bigger. And Toiz is also at TLC with their Autumn Garden Deco set. I’m a sucker for any set with pumpkins, so naturally I love both these sets!

Barnesworth Anubis is at Collabor88 with the Classic Brownstone. It’s 3 stories of awesome, has some lovely stairs inside, and the “backyard” is kind of darling! I set up my porch items on the back porch and you can see how cute it all is!

Place Your Head On My Beating Heart

Happy weekend, bunnies! Tonight the husband and I had a date night! We don’t often get to do that on the weekends because weekends are normally busy for us in our non-SL lives, so it was an awesome surprise to be able to go out together! We danced and danced, but of course my favorite thing is being able to come home and get into comfy clothes and just wind down for the evening.

oOo Studio is at The Mens Dept this month with the Lazy poses! There are two different poses, but we are using Lazy 3 to be lazy together. [I also did adjust my hand a bit because my fingertips were inside of our couch just a tiny bit!] I just love this pose because it is sweet and cozy without being overly raunchy and that is something I look for often.

Well, Don’t Let Me Out Of Your Sight

Hey there, bunnies! When I was a teen in the 90s, I went through a period of really not committing to a look. But around the time I was 17, my normal look was striped sweaters and baggy jeans. I was shopping at Uber and saw just the perfect sweater to relive my 90s-dELiA*s-wish I were a skater girl 90s look!

Emery‘s Apache striped tops for Uber are too cute! They have two options, with or without the different colored stripes in the middle. I picked the one with the different colors because it looks exactly like something I would have worn in 1996! Love it!

I also used to favor lots of silver necklaces with charms back then, so Cae‘s new Quad necklace for FaMESHed is just perfect! You have the option of wearing all of them or just one strand and of course there are different color options via a HUD.

Fall Fringe

Hello, bunnies! I have had an exhausting few days, so we’ll keep this short and sweet today.

Rebel Hope is at FaMESHed this month with some great items! The Sonoma cardigan, Katina skirt, and Gigi fringe boots are so awesome! I love the pretty fringe on the boots. Doesn’t it seem like fall is just perfect for fringe? You can wear the cardigan without the tassels, too.

Truth released his new Morgana hair and if you notice that the colors are a little different – you’re right! This particular hair actually comes in 2 pieces for the right and left sides and each side can be colored differently if you want. Plus there are 12 extra colors to play with.

We’ve Been Through This Such A Long Long Time

Happy November, bunnies! I hope you all had a great Halloween! I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of this month for personal reasons, so I will apologize in advance if my blogs are either much more sporadic or if I blog too much. Never can tell how it’s gonna go!

The Mix has started and Neve is participating! [Remember to get your HUD for The Mix here on marketplace!] The new Esprit tops and Buttons skirts are awesome, and so perfect for this time of year! I love that you’re able to play around with the colors of the tops to get the look that you want.

oOo Studio is in Sad November this month with some Umbrellas poses! I don’t really have all the details on this event, so just go and shop while you can!
