Eyes Open, Feet Steady

Enchantment is coming! The theme for this round is “Little Red Riding Hood” and Fri.day has made some great Hunter boots for it! And yes, I know I’m pretty early with this, but I just couldn’t wait!

I just love these! They really are a great casual boot, even if you’re not hunting. They’re not rigged, either, so you can modify them to be bigger or smaller to fit your avatar. There are five exclusive versions for Enchantment, and I just know you’ll want every single one.

Enchantment starts on February 1st and has some awesome designers, so there will be something for everyone!

A Thousand Miles Away Tonight

I’m tired today and feeling a thousand miles away from everything. But! I do love when things come together, especially since it’s hard to layer with mesh items.

Coldlogic released some new items yesterday and I am loving the Toney sweater/shirt combo. The little zipper detail on the side takes what could be very plain into something really great! What I love even more is that it works very well with the Presley plaid mini skirt from Stellar, out now at this month’s My Attic event. I am wearing the skirt in small and the top in medium and there is very very little clipping as I move around, so I’m happy!

If you haven’t been out to The Garden yet, you need to go! I’m standing in the Mars II house by Breno and it’s pretty darn cool! I filled up the top room with furniture from Mudhoney and Bauwerk, which you can also find at The Garden this month.

If You Can Be Anything, Why Not Be Happy?

Oh goodness, lots of things have been happening while I’ve been trying to fight off the flu! Let’s get to it!

Poser Pavilion opens up tomorrow, and I just love the new poses from Picture This! Feathered Friend has poses and cute little birds to hold, and Fashion Stances are really nice poses that work well with SLink hands. I’m finding that some of my old poses don’t QUITE work with my hands now, so it’s nice to find some that do.

FaMESHed is still going on and how precious is this Overall Babydoll dress from NYU? I wore the option without the bow because it was a little too twee for me, but the bow is very cute, too. I think it works well with the Descend necklace from Cae for The Boutique. You can’t see them that well without getting closer, but the necklace has lots of tiny little gems that you can change the color of with the included HUD. And of course no look is finished without shoes, and the Emma.Flats from fri.day for The Seasons Story are just adorable with the attached leg warmer! These are made for the SLink natural feet, so don’t put them on your janky system feet.

Breathing My Name With A Sigh

I still can’t figure out if this photo makes me look sad, confused, or like I have a headache. You decide!

I’ve been wearing nail polishes from Hello Dave quite a bit in the past few months. The polishes are always gorgeous and come in almost every color you can think of. The latest High Gloss release is fantastic! You know you need new colors for your SLink fingers and toes! Hello Dave is only on the Marketplace, so it’s truly easy to shop for your goodies.

I wore some of the Ascend jewelry by Cae for FaMESHed in a previous post, but I didn’t get to show off the ring, which is actually my favorite piece from the set. I just love rings, but so many don’t resize right for the SLink hands, and Cae‘s rings always do. The jewelry comes with a HUD so you can change the metal and the jewel colors, and also resize.

Happy New Year, readers! And what better way to start off a new year than with a new round of FaMESHed??

IKON is in this round of FaMESHed with the new Promise eyes. I love these because they almost remind me of some eyes I had back in late 2007, but just fresh and updated. And if you don’t like to always wear the mesh eyeballs, there is a regular texture version included that is just as pretty.

Thanks To 2013!

Happy New Year’s Eve, my friends! This is my last post of 2013 in this blog, and I have stuff to say!

I wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to all the SL creators who allowed me to blog for them this past year. Clothes, hair, shoes, poses, and home decor – plus everything in between – you all are the the reason why Second Life remains amazing year after year. You guys keep us looking good, posing pretty, and keep our houses looking more gorgeous than anything we could have ever hoped for. It’s been a true honor this past year to use your creations and I am so looking forward to what you guys come up with in 2014!

And to my readers – thank you. Every time I post something and someone favorites a pic on flickr or IMs me to say “I saw what you showed and had to go buy it!” I seriously feel proud. What I do is not as big as what the creators of SL do, but I’m happy when you guys take the time to let me know that you like what I do. If bloggers didn’t have readers, we’d have nothing. ♥
