I Get Too Hungry For Dinner At Eight

My dear forever sister, Rylan Carling, decided to hang up her hat as far as SL fashion blogging goes today. I’m sad, because Rylan has definitely been one of my fashion inspirations for many years now, but I also know that she has so many amazing things that are going to be happening in her offline life. So as much as I want to be selfish and tell her to keep doing it, I am happy for her for so many other reasons. While I was doing my photo tonight, I thought about her. The lighting in the picture reminded me of one she did for my husband and me last year, so Ry, this post is dedicated to you! ILY!!!

Alice Project has been doing the Advent gift giving over on Mint Tulip this month and it’s been great! Plus, if you miss any of the gifts, Alice has helpfully put them on the wall for the low low price of $50L each. I combined the Bonnie bangs from today’s gift with the Clarissa hair from a previous gift. Since the bangs are not rigged, it was no problem moving them around to fit the hair. I have kind of a fivehead, so I almost always need bangs!

Coldlogic put out the cutest party dresses last week! I’m wearing Merry in Emerald since it IS the Pantone color of 2013! I just love this dress. It’s a simple, classy party dress and, as you all KNOW I love, you can dress it up and down in many ways.

So Really I Better Scurry

Hello readers! Did you miss me? I know, probably were too busy shopping to notice I was gone, right? I don’t blame you a bit! Sooo much goodness has come out in the past week!

Collabor88 is unbelievable this month! I’m so happy with the Chaud dresses from Ingenue, I hardly know what to do. I’ve said it time and time again, but I adore simple pieces that you can dress up or down in so many ways, and this fits the bill! I dressed this one up with the Baboushka fur collar and fur hat from Maxi Gossamer at C88. I love all the fluff! And Fashionably Dead has some awesome Knee High mesh socks [the tops are mesh, not the actual sock part] that I couldn’t resist wearing. My thighs might get cold, but who cares when I look this cute, am I right?

Also at C88, Trompe Loeil has the cutest little mesh winter cottage called Frostbite! Because it sits on its own snowpile and has trees, you really could just put it anywhere! The inside is basically just one room and has a fireplace. Cozy!

Buffalo Gals, Won’t You Come Out Tonight?

I’m watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” right now and the song “Buffalo Gals” will be in my head for days! But I had to show you guys some newness from this month’s FaMESHed!

Pink Outfitters brings us the Tori Bodycon dresses this month. It’s a simple dress, which you all know I adore, with a nice little belt. You could, of course, wear it without the belt, or if you have another one that fits over the dress, that would work, too! The thing I love about classic dresses is that you can dress them up or down in so many ways!

And oh my GOD, look at the Fufu Bag from Maxi Gossamer! I seriously squealed when I saw these purses because I have a total love of sparkly, pretty, party purses! I’m carrying the silver shimmer one, but the combo pack comes with black feather as well. Also, you have the option to carry it in your hand or on your shoulder.

I Hope To Be There By The Morning

Quiet day for me today. I’m really just waiting for the morning.

Couple of events to tell you about: The Unhinged event kicked off today and there are a lot of great designers involved. This event is a charity fundraiser for Second Lifer Eku Zhong. I don’t know Eku myself, but when so many people are willing to help you out, you’ve got to be a pretty special person. You can read all about the event on this page.

FAIR starts on November 17th, and as usual, it’s going to be fantastic! Lots of great items and I’ll definitely been showing you guys more from the event after it opens.

Picture Perfect Memories

The Scorpio round of Zodiac starts tomorrow!! I adore Zodiac, I think the designers always have so much fun with it and make so many things that I just HAVE to have!

Bilo has these really lovely Hiba dresses for Zodiac. I just can never have enough casual dresses. Sometimes all you want is something pretty and simple to put on so you can look presentable without having to fuss too much. But you can most definitely dress this up with higher heels and more jewelry. I kept it simple here because that’s the mood I was in.

I think the Hiba dress also goes really well with the Coffee Bean jewelry Izzie’s has for FAIR! I’m not a coffee addict [anymore] but I think coffee bean jewelry is really unique and fun!

It Was Like A Movie

Cinema is coming on October 13th! Have you heard about this? It’s a fabulous new event brought to you by The Hottie Cooterati Experience and is centered around the movies! There are so many fantastic creators taking part, and I know you all will simply love it. Better start saving those $Lindens if you can, because there’s going to be a lot to shop for!

Zaara is in Cinema and brings us this just simply lovely Runa dress. It’s mesh, of course, and knotted in the front. If you’re like me and adore classic styles, this is the dress for you!

A Little Cleaning Up

So my dear husband is out of town this weekend, and I figured it would be a great time to clean up a bit around the house. Luckily with the Fancy Feathers collaborative set from Exposeur and Cheeky Pea for Zodiac, I can get all the dusting done!

Miel put out just the cutest little minidresses for today’s Fifty Linden Friday! The Playa dress is short and sexy, and has some great color change options via an easy to use HUD.

Spruce Up Your Space starts tomorrow, and MudHoney has this really sweet Harriet set for us. The chair even has an animation to pet a kitty! My kitty from this month’s Collabor88 has a new place to sit!

Okay, back to cleaning. I can’t let him come home to a dirty house!

There’s No Gravity To Hold Me Down

I wasn’t going to blog the new Xarra tunic by Maitreya. It’s super cute and I do love it, but I figured it would be blogged a whole lot by much better bloggers than me. 🙂 I was right, of course! [And let’s face it, I’m also super lazy and figured it was a good excuse to not blog.] But I cannot resist blogging an outfit if I actually think I look pretty because I struggle at styling myself!

Truth released new hair today, and I just fell in love with the Bria hair! Long and pinned to the side? Yes, please! Not gonna lie, I’m probably going to try to replicate this style on my real hair and then be sad that it doesn’t look as good.

I hopped over to The Dressing Room today [I THINK it’s the last day for the current cycle, but don’t quote me on that] and picked up these cute Brera pumps by YS&YS. I’m wearing the version with socks, but there is a prim foot-no sock version as well. And I couldn’t resist snatching up Glam Affair‘s Cassiopea Retro skin while I was at TDR! It’s just so pretty!
