Today Is Where Your Book Begins

On Monday morning I did a live stream in SL for the first time in quite a while. I had forgotten how much I missed just chatting with people who are kind enough to come and hear me ramble about various things. It’s different than what I do on my Twitch channel. There, I play games and chat about what I’m doing in that moment. Somehow, live streaming on YouTube is different, and I can talk about any number of things. If you missed it, then I’m sorry, because I deleted the video immediately afterwards. Mostly because I did a playlist of current pop songs in the background and I didn’t need 37 copyright notices, but also because I wanted to chat about some personal things just to get them out there.

Someone in my chat mentioned that SL breaks are a good thing, because it means you can come back later and remember why you love this place. You can start again. It reminds me of a quote I really enjoy – “At any given moment, you have the power to say ‘This is not how my story will end.'”

No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

The rest is still unwritten.

Witch or Sexy Kitten Are The Only Choices

Hiya bunnies! So in the Sex and the City movie, there’s this part where Miranda says, “Witch and sexy kitten. That’s it. The only two choices for women, witch and sexy kitten.” It made me laugh at the time because I thought that was really true! But then again, sometimes being a sexy witch isn’t too awful.

Style - Witch or Sexy Kitten Are The Only Choices

The Liaison Collaborative is almost here! You all might remember, but TLC took a few months hiatus. I think this is actually a good thing for a lot of events to do. Give everyone a break, give people a chance to come back with fresh ideas. When TLC first started there were 3 different sections, then it was all combined. Coming back, there’s a bit of a switch, but also kind of going back to its roots. This round will be things to wear and poses! And the theme is Fright Night, so get ready for Halloween goodness!

Luxuria will be at TLC with the Araneae lingerie. The sheer bra and panty have a great spider and web print. They come with both appliers and regular system layers.

Black Tulip will also be at TLC with The Cursed Doll pose pack. These poses probably do look better with a doll avatar, but also work pretty well without one, too!

The Liaison Collaborative opens on October 7th! I’ll update this post with the SLurl right before opening!

You Always Build It Better The Second Time Around

One of the hard parts of being a blogger is that unless you get early access, are in a blogger group, or you have creator friends, you almost always blog things way after others have. Even if the event just opened! Bloggers are a pretty quick group of people! I’m fairly sure what I’m showing you today, you’ve seen before a bunch of times this week. But hey, you haven’t see it on ME, and that’s what counts, am I right? 🙂

Style - You Always Build It Better The Second Time Around

I skipped out to Shiny Shabby tonight to pick up a few things. Like the adorable Cathy Blazer Dress from Gizza and the Fresh Mess hair from Tableau Vivant. I’m in love with both! I will say that the sleeves of the dress don’t quite work with the Maitreya body. I had to shrink my torso muscles down a lot. I don’t know if it works better with another mesh body, but it’s not too bad and worth some adjustments. You can also find the new Roxanne boots from Fri.day out at Shiny Shabby. They are not rigged [good if you still have regular feet] and they are mod, so they will fit pretty much any mesh body, even Toddleedoos!

The Liaison Collaborative is still going strong and there are many decor items out there! Even for guys! I’m using pieces from the jAzz cAFe by Toiz, the Bilbo set by Little Branch, and The Gentleman’s Club by Kunst. And my pose and stool are from the Fine and Dandy set by Le Poppycock, also found out at TLC.

Happy shopping, bunnies!

I Still Remember Her After All These Years

With all the billion events that happen every month, do you ever notice that you honestly don’t know what you’ve even bought any more? And that you have boxes of things that you’ve never worn? It’s kind of sad, in a way, isn’t it? We buy and buy and buy but never really have a lot of time to enjoy things before we get more new stuff. So today is kind of a “Throwback Thursday” for me because I dug out a few older things from my inventory.

Style - I Still Remember Her After All These Years

People are still making winter items, but I’m ready for spring! The Mari dress from Valentina E. is a cute warm weather sundress that you could dress up or down. It shows some sideboob, too, so would probably be good for dates! 🙂

Hucci is a great subscriber group to be in because there are group gifts quite often. The latest one was the Valdez pump in this pretty teal color. It comes with a HUD to change the color the strings and the soles of the shoes and shoes to fit both the Slink and the Maitreya feet. It’s really like getting a wearable demo because once you wear this around for a while, you’re going to want to go get all the colors! Sneaky! 😀

Dig around in your inventory, you might find some long forgotten goodies!

Make A New Plan, Stan!

My parents were already married and had 2 kids by 1966, so they never got to be free lovin’ hippies. Plus it really wasn’t in their nature, being the more clean cut, responsible type. But they certainly enjoyed them when they encountered them and by the time I came around, they raised me on some great music and to be their little free spirit. So this small area I’ve put together using some items from an upcoming event makes me happy! [And made me put on some Simon & Garfunkel music!]

Style - Make A New Plan, Stan!

Perfect 10 is a new home and garden event coming up on February 1st! It features home and garden designers alongside full perm creators and replaces The Designer Warehouse event, if you were familiar with that one. The items will be half price or less, and exclusive to the event. There will also be some gacha to play, for those of you who are gacha addicts! I don’t think there is a theme for this upcoming first round, but a few of the designers who were kind enough to give advance copies of items seemed to be in the bohemian spirit.

Perfect 10 starts on February 1st and runs until February 15th. It should be fun!

Doesn’t It Feel Like Christmas?

So Ms. Elle Kirshner of Second Spaces has been an incredibly busy bee lately! Let’s take a look at a couple of her new releases!

Style - Doesn't It Feel Like Christmas?

If you didn’t know, Second Spaces is in The Arcade with the Wrap It Up set! If you’re getting ready to wrap Christmas gifts, this is the set for you. There are 12 items to collect, 2 being rare. [The ribbon shelf and the wrapping paper rack on the wall.]

Collabor88 starts today and for this photo, I’m using a few pieces from the new Snow Day set by Second Spaces. I LOVE this set! There are several pieces because Elle is truly the queen of stuff to clutter your home up with. The lights on my wall are from the set, but I edited them to be bigger and tinted the bulbs red.

Go on! It’s time to shop!

Hey Boy, You Got Me On My Tip Toes

Hey! Did you know The Arcade opened?? My family loves to hit it up the first couple of days because we like to sell things at our yard sale [sorry, shameless plug], but also because we just LIKE STUFF! This round is my first time really getting to play in forever because before, I couldn’t see anything since my computer was so old. My husband is AWESOME, though, and he got me a LOT of things! Like my Erratic sweater that I thought I’d NEVER get! I woke up this morning so happy!

Hey Boy, You Got Me On My Tip Toes!

I don’t think I can ever take the Hazel Oversized sweater off, however, because it’s GOT to be the most dang expensive sweater that I own now! But I also got a lot of socks! I love the Eva holiday socks, also from Erratic, because they are just sooo pretty and fit SO well! But can someone tell me what boots work with these socks, please?!

If you haven’t spent all your money on gacha, don’t forget that FaMESHed is open, too! I’m wearing the Holly hair from Wasabi Pills because I couldn’t resist it. Not only is it cute, but it’s got the same name as my RL kitty!

Happy shopping!
